Indie games have been quite the talk for the next-gen consoles. We have seen games like Gone Home, The Witness, and the upcoming Firewatch game by Campo Santo steal the hearts of many, including PlayStation.
But there's one problem with indie games — not all of them make it to multiple platforms. This very problem happened with Firewatch. The upcoming game is only releasing on PS4 and PC; but, don’t count out other platforms just yet. In a recent interview between developer Campo Santo and Redbull revealed that there's still hope for Xbox owners.
"We’ll see how the game does at launch,” Vanaman said, “and if there’s a desire for it on other platforms then we’ll explore that.”
There is nothing in the pipeline as of now, but I would suggest making your voices heard to let Campo Santo know you want Firewatch on your desired console.
The interview does get a little more interesting when Vanaman states that there is no rush to “spin up something brand new.”
“I’m always kind of ready to start working on another game,” he admits, “but I think we’ll start chipping away at that when the time is right. It won’t be a sequel to Firewatch, this story is done. But I’m very excited to see what we come up with next.”
Firewatch is set to launch on February 9th for both PS4 and PC.
