Disney Interactive has released a new trailer for its new "gaming initiative" Disney Infinity — a new Skylanders-esque game which integrates collectible Disney/Pixar characters into a digital world.
The trailer highlights the first game worlds, or "Play Sets", that will be available at launch — Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Incredibles. In each Play Set, you will play as a variety of the film's popular characters including Sulley, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Mr. Incredible.
However, a major feature of the game also includes the "Toy Box", a virtual home for all of the characters, vehicles, upgrades, and gadgets you will collect along the way. As you'll see in the video, you can combine these items to create a one-of-a-kind Disney adventure featuring any combination of characters, environments, and items across all franchises. You are limited only by your own imagination.
For more details and information about Disney Infinity, check out this more in-depth feature and check back later for our first preview of the game. Disney Infinity is set to release in June 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and PC, as well as an accompanying mobile experience.
