2K Sports reveals new and innovative features for the WWE 2K16 MyCAREER game mode in new official trailer.
The highly anticipated title will be hitting shelves next month and is looking to build on 2K's much scrutinized previous wrestling game.
Unlike WWE 2K15 this new wrestling game will offer the chance to remain in WWE's developmental brand, NXT, honing your craft in a way that resembles the career of one Kevin Owens, Finn Balor or even the former NXT Women's champion Sasha Banks.
However if your superstar is more forward-thinking, so to speak, then you can set a target. For example/ after arriving on the WWE main roster, gamers will be able to select the route in which their superstar would like take, whether that be a measured angle to stardom like CM Punk, challenging for the lower division titles first, or make an immediate impact like Ryback and fire yourself into the world title hunt.
Also, if you fancy your chances as the next Dudley Boyz or Hawk and Animal, you will be given the option to enter the tag-team division. Your partner will be decided by actions that your superstar makes within his career, for example/ if he comes out and makes the save for Kofi Kingston, he might be your partner later down the line. These new features are accompanied by the news that WWE 2K16's MyCAREER will last around 15 years, which should allow gamers to explore a plethora of creative angles and storylines, something that last year's title ever so dearly fell short of.
By the looks of things WWE 2K16 will focus a lot more on the story that your superstar's career will take part in, offering a wider range of cut-scenes, post-match drama with Renee Young, rivalries and all with the objective of reaching the WWE Hall of Fame.
Finally, WWE 2K16's new trailer did reveal one specific storyline, and an interesting one at that. As WWE fans will be aware Triple H and Stephanie McMahon – otherwise known as The Authority – play a massive role in WWE programming at the moment and new developments to career will offer a chance to either side with them, or defy them.
