Sonic Runners, SEGA's latest mobile release for gaming's favourite hedgehog, is set to launch worldwide tomorrow, but the first volume of the official soundtrack has released a day ahead of the game's launch. That's one way to build anticipation.
Volume 1 of the EP, priced at $5.94 for the collection or $0.99 for individual songs, is now available on iTunes (or Amazon if you prefer) and features the following tracklist:
- Beyond The Speed Of…
- Fly Away
- Power Ride
- Theory of Attack
- Spring Emotions
- Where To Today?
Probably the most exciting tidbit — aside from the stage themes not rehashing music from Sonic Lost World — is that the soundtrack was done by Tomoya Ohtani, who is responsible for several musical gems across Sonic's history, like this fine piece from Sonic Colors.
There's no word yet on when Volume 2 will release, but one likely inclusion to look forward to is Sonic Runners' new Invincibility jingle, which is refreshing since recent games have made repeated use of the one from Sonic Heroes.
In the meantime, give Power Ride a listen, won't you?
