And you thought Magic Mike was bad? It's about to get a whole lot worse. Men everywhere are one step closer to masses of women complaining that their man doesn't treat them how Christian Grey treats Anastasia. Oh, you mean that made-up playboy billionaire that likes flogging and was created from Twilight erotic fan-fiction? Yea, have fun with that.
Fifty Shades of Grey is about a college graduate named Anastasia Steele who falls for the mysterious billionaire Christian Grey. She's a virgin, and he's… well… not. She signs a contract that gives him complete control over her life, and introduces her to the world of bondage, BDSM and such. They fall into a relationship as she discovers how damaged he is.
E.L. James international best-selling novel has been gaining steam in its film format. Fifty Shades of Grey will be a movie. Universal won the movie rights to the entire trilogy, which includes Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Free. Everyone movie starts with producers, and that's what the Fifty Shades of Grey film just landed. In addition to E.L. James producing the film, Universal has also landed Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti of Trigger Street Productions. The duo has also co-produced The Social Network.
Next up is finding a screenwriter and a director.
Gentlemen, our days are numbered.
