343 Industries seems pretty serious about having the next Halo game have a role in eSports. The developer has brought in Lenoxcoolgamer, former producer and director for Major League gaming Halo broadcasts, to join the company and (presumably) help with competitive multiplayer.
A Tweet from Lenox mentions that he is excited to bring eSports to the table. Many gamers weren't exactly thrilled with the state of competitive multiplayer in Halo 4. Given that the general eSports scene has shifted away from the Halo franchise in the FPS genre, this could be a move to fix all of that. It'll be interesting to see how everything works out.
Hopefully this all means that the next Halo's multiplayer is tons of fun. That's all that really matters, right? Right!
