Former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs working on space shmup Humans Must Answer

Humans Must Answer is an upcoming space shoot 'em up from developer Sumom Games. The studio consists of staff that worked on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and it has just released a new trailer for the Independent Games Festival.

Humans Must Answer looks to offer gamers retro-inspired side-scrolling shooter action, with plenty of power-ups, threatening bosses, and a high level of challenge. Sumom was founded about a year ago, and the developer immediately got started on the game. Now it's got an alpha build ready to show off.

If you're a fan of old school space shmups, Humans Must Answer may appeal to you. The game will feature massive explosions, tricky secrets to uncover, shops for purchasing upgrades, and a "subtle and surprising narrative."

If you dig the gameplay footage of Humans Must Answer and want the game on Steam, you can vote for it on Greenlight. Expect to hear more about the game in the near future, and watch out for the public demo, scheduled to land on PC sometime in 2013.
