Epic Games is looking for alpha testers for Fortnite. If you don't remember what that is, you probably aren't alone. Since the game's initial reveal back in July 2012, we've heard very little about the sandbox survival game. So as a quick refresher, Fortnite is a multiplayer survival game in which you explore, forage, collaborate and build by day and defend your fortress from the forces of darkness at night. It's also the first game to use Unreal Engine 4.
Now that we've got that out of the way, you can sign up to partake in its alpha. Registration is in the form of a survey which asks the usual questions: gaming frequency, the types of games you play and how you play them (alone, with friends, with strangers), gaming systems you own, and things of that nature.
Interestingly, the survey also asks about free-to-play, including how many free-to-play games you've played and if you've purchased in-game items via microtransactions. There's also the topic of social platforms you use when talking about games, including twitch streaming. Perhaps Fortnite will place an emphasis on community involvement?
If you're interested in signing up for Fortnite's alpha, you can do so here.
