Forza Horizon 3 is getting a crossover no one would have ever thought would happen. Final Fantasy XV's Regalia is coming to the game as a free downloadable on August 1st to any one with an Xbox One with either game installed on the console. The car was revealed in a Press Release and brand new trailer which released earlier today.
It's a bit ironic since the Regalia was anything but drivable in the main storyline of Final Fantasy XV for the first seven months that the game had been out. A recent patch brought the Regalia Type-D to the game, turning the luxury car into an off-roader, but Forza Horizon 3 will be the only way to drive the Regalia in its standard form.
I can't tell if that's sad or hilarious.
Forza Horizon 3 players will be able to redeem the car through the in-game messaging system while Final Fantasy XV players will get a notification through the Xbox Live messaging system.
Both Forza Horizon 3 and Final Fantasy XV are available now.
