Game Arts — the developer responsible for the Lunar and Grandia series, along with the upcoming Ragnarok Odyssey — is preparing a new game for the PlayStation Vita.
Dokuro will be the team's second game for Sony's current handheld. The new trailer (below) reveals a few story details.
The game begins with the Dark Lord capturing the Princess and locking her away in a tower until their wedding day. Dokuro, the titular protagonist, works as her guard, but her unhappiness causes him to abandon his duty as a watchman and betray the Dark Lord.
Players must guide the Princess through the tower, bypassing traps and other obstacles. In his ghoul form, Dokuro can double jump, reaching otherwise inaccessible platforms. As a valiant hero, he can carry the Princess to safety.
Dokuro releases in Japan on July 5.
