Well Lindsey Stirling and Peter Hollens did it again. This time is isn’t a song / video about a video game but it is one with popular geek culture; a cover of the Game of Thrones intro theme. Lindsey Stirling graces our ear balls with her flawless violin skills and Peter Hollens’ vocal dexterity is as overly rewarding as ever.
Lindsey takes on the role of Daenerys Targaryen for this video, mother of dragons. The desert scenes were filmed in Florence, Oregon. Other than that, I’m not sure where the other locations were filmed at. Did I mention that everything you fear in this video is violin and voice alone? Besides a few stomps from Lindsey, there is nothing else added to this video. Obviously there are multiple tracks but it really is just those two making some awesome music.
I honestly hope these two continue making awesome covers of geeky things both together and separately, the more the better. If you missed their Skyrim cover, you need to go watch that now HERE. Preeetty awesome stuff. The video for the Game of Thrones cover is below, watch it already. The ‘making of’ video can be watched HERE.
