Gamebase USA now an authorized middleware developer for Wii U

Gamebase USA, the developer of the Gamebryo 3D game engine, has announced they are now an authorized middleware developer for Nintendo's Wii U. As such, the Gamebryo engine now offers support for Wii U development.

Gamebase USA's technologies have been used by studios around the world on more than 300 titles including games like Epic Mickey, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, and Bully: Scholarship Edition. The engine simplifies development by providing "a complete toolset, flexible workflow, rapid prototyping capabilities and high-performance runtime."

“We are determined to stay on the cutting edge of all new hardware as it becomes available,” said Gabriel Liberty, Technical Director of Gamebase USA. “The Wii U is powerful enough to take advantage of all of Gamebryo's features including our advanced lighting techniques and multicore technology.”

Gamebase USA CEO Davide Brame added, “We are excited to be a middleware developer for such an innovative system as the Wii U console. The Gamebryo engine has been utilized by a long legacy of Wii games and we look forward to our future with Wii U.”
