Gamescom 2016: Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas releases new gameplay trailer for console version

Play a tried and true adventure game on your favorite console this September

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas is a remastered version of an adventure game that originally released on iOS back in 2013. If the gameplay looks a bit familiar, that's because Oceanhorn is an homage to the classic adventure series, The Legend of Zelda, and according to the critics, manages to emulate the series very well. The game released on PC in March of 2015 and will be landing on PS4 and Xbox One sometime next month.

Here's the game's official description from its Steam page:

You wake up and find a letter from your father. He is gone… The only lead is his old notebook and a mysterious necklace. What happened?

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas combines captivating storytelling, breathtaking 3D visuals and exciting gameplay into one epic action-adventure experience. In the game you explore the islands of Uncharted Seas, a world filled with many dangers, puzzles and secrets. You must fight monsters, learn to use magic and discover ancient treasures, which will help you on your quest. Use all of your wits and skill to unravel the mysteries of the ancient kingdom of Arcadia and the sea monster, Oceanhorn.

Feature Overview:

  • 15+ hours of story driven gameplay
  • Master magic and swordfight
  • Find ancient items to help you on your quest
  • Enchanting original soundtrack

It's worth noting that the original iOS version of the game carries an overall Metacritic score of 85 while the PC port has a 73. The developers have said on their official blog that the game is expected to run at the PC version's Ultra settings, with full HD and 60 FPS.
