EA has brought out the big guns both figuratively and literally at Gamescom 2017. Alongside the new complete edition of Battlefield 1 titled Revolution, EA and DICE set up a 24-player multiplayer match of Starfighter gameplay (embedded above) which gives us the best possible look at what to expect from the final game.
One of the more notable aspects of the demo is the appearance of Darth Maul's Scimitar, one of several hero ships that players will be able to control. The Scimitar is unique because it functions as a stealth vessel with its ability to turn invisible. You'll also be able to take control of the Millenium Falcon as well as Poe Dameron's X-Wing, the latter of which comes with a rally cry ability to boost allies around him.
Star Wars: Battlefront II will feature a campaign mode, something that was sorely lacking from the original game. If you're looking to invest yourself in its story entirely, you can check out the prequel novel that focuses on Inferno Squad which is available now.
Star Wars: Battlefront II launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 17th, 2017.
