George R. R. Martin’s personal assistant working with Telltale on Game of Thrones game

Not much is known about Telltale Games' video game adaptation of Game of Thrones, which was announced back in December of last year. We know it's going to be an episodic adventure (that's just Telltale's style) and we know it will not be a prequel to the books. Other than that, it appears that it appears that Telltale has free rein of the universe established by George R.R. Martin — within reason that is.

As revealed in an article from the New York Times, HBO has assigned George R.R. Martin's personal assistant, Ty Corey Franck, to help consult with the story. It's unclear exactly how much say or influence Franck has with the game's story, but it's comforting to know that Martin's people are also involved in the project — especially after two already very disappointing Game of Thrones games.

That's about all the article offered on the game. Everything else is just about how tight-lipped Telltale is being with its new series. The New York Times noted that there is no mention of the game on storyboards, and that even character mock-ups taped to the walls are "just samples." There's a brainstorming room, so I guess that's neat.
