It's hard to imagine living in a world without zombies. Well, a world without fictional zombies that is. We have dozens and dozens of movies and games filled with hordes of the undead and one of the most popular TV shows on the air wouldn't exist without the fictional monsters.
Decades ago, legendary director George Romero brought the creatures to the mainstream with films like Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. Sadly, the acclaimed director passed away just earlier this year and to pay tribute to him, Dying Light developer Techland added an in-game tribute to him in the game.
Players can find a mural of recongizable man around Jaffar's Garage. In addition, Techland also released a video dedicated to the "Father of Zombies". You can view it down below.

Romero has appeared in other video games before like the Call of the Dead zombie map in Call of Duty: Black Ops where he played himself as a menacing boss.
Dying Light is out now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
