Ghost of Tsushima finally gets release date with June 26

Pre-orders are live now

One of the most highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusives at long last now has a firm release date. The incredible looking Ghost of Tsushima will launch on PS4 June 26. Together with this welcome news, Sony also released a brand-new story trailer. Check it out here!

Three years ago, Sucker Punch revealed their new IP which was developed exclusively for Sony’s home console. That period isn’t that unheard of for big game projects but somehow the wait felt much longer than it actually was. That’s probably a testament to just how excited gamers are.

Another reason why Ghost of Tsushima enjoyed such a huge excitement is the feudal Japan setting. Unlike FromSoftware’s Sekiro, GoT portrays a much more grounded story of a Mongol invasion, however, further helping it differentiate from the breadth of supernatural or over-the-top samurai games.

And with the PlayStation 5 looming on the horizon with mere months to its presumed launch, some pessimists were starting to think Sony was saving up Ghost of Tsushima for their next-gen system. Now we know better, with the title coming out in only three months.

Together with the release date, Sony also opened up pre-orders while detailing the three editions up for purchase. Here they are.
