Giant monsters attack in these Ragnarok Odyssey screens

Ragnarok Odyssey is headed to the PlayStation Vita later this summer courtesy of publisher XSEED. The game will hopefully bring a memorable RPG experience to Sony's current handheld, which is sorely lacking in that department.

Ragnarok Odyssey is based on the world of Ragnarok Online, and it will feature an intuitive combat system, huge monsters, and online co-op for up to four players. It will also boast some gameplay elements not typical of the RPG genre such as a lives system and time limits during quests.

XSEED released a batch of new screenshots from the game that show off some of the monsters you can expect to take on when the game launches. The foes are pretty imposing, which makes the four-player co-op a lot more enticing. Check 'em out to get a closer look at Ragnarok Odyssey.
