With God of War‘s release date on the horizon, rumors are bound to crop up in the anxious audience. One rumor, in particular, gained some ground before the game’s principal artist, Raf Grassetti, snuffed it out. That rumor was in regards to a downgrade in graphics between the 2016 E3 presentation of God of War and the final product.
According to Grassetti, this is wholesale untrue. The graphics remain the same as the E3 presentation, and only the direction of light and fog have changed. If that explanation seems vague, he states that fans will understand the sentiment once they’ve actually played the game.
“What changed was just the direction of the light and fog, this piece of E3 is in the game but different, you will understand when to play”, Grassetti said on Twitter (Google Translate). “Jormungandr, Kratos and Atreus remain exactly the same as the trailers, are comparing with other scenes and lights.”
The downgrade rumors cropped up when the new story trailer was released a few days ago.
In other God of War news, Cory Barlog answered a barrage of questions on Twitter. One of which he clearly states that God of War will not have a Season Pass.
