The biggest online retailer will soon be making its way into the physical realm via a spot in one of the world’s biggest malls, Mall of America. Amazon and Good Housekeeping have announced that they’re opening a pop-up store within Mall of America which will put some of the hottest products on display.
The store which is known as The GH Lab will act more as a way to try before you buy. The store won’t technically be selling anything for you to walk out with but rather allow you to try these products and then purchase them via Amazon in-store QR codes where they’ll then be delivered to your home.
“The GH Lab is a one-of-a-kind concept that redefines shopping for our guests and creates an exciting and seamless consumer journey. It has been an incredible opportunity teaming up with Good Housekeeping and Amazon to showcase a unique intersection of online and brick-and-mortar shopping,” Jill Renslow, senior vice president of business development and marketing at Mall of America, said in a statement to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Products featured will include Smart TVs, Amazon Alexa products, and the world’s most powerful console, the Xbox One X. Good Housekeeping has curated the store to deliver some of the most elite products around, ensuring those gearing up for the holiday shopping season can find the best possible items.
As opposed to a traditional store, The GH Lab will be modeled similarly to a home with different themed rooms with the appropriate products displayed in their expected environments.
The GH Lab will open in Mall of America in Minneapolis on October 2nd, 2018 and will stay open seven days a week until December 30th, 2018. For those out of the area, you’ll be able to view and order all the products featured in the store on Amazon.
