Good Kill is the Hurt Locker of drone warfare

Ethan Hawke is a pilot that doesn't actually fly

Ethan Hawke and January Jones are starring in Good Kill, a movie where Hawke plays a Las Vegasbased fighter pilot turned drone pilot who struggles with his mission. It has a very Hurt Lockerish feel to it, which makes sense since it's the same producers.

While it looks good, it's not quite as captivating as both American Sniper and The Hurt Locker were to me with their trailers, but it's still interesting. The concept is especially relevant in today's warfare, and shows like 24 also used drones in their plot.

Here's the synopsis for Good Kill:

A fighterpilot turned dronepilot, based in Las Vegas, fights the Taliban by remote control for twelve hours a day, then goes home to the suburbs and feuds with his wife and kids for the other twelve. But the pilot is starting to question the mission. Is he creating more terrorists than he’s killing? Is he fighting a war without end? One soldier’s tale with epic implications.
