Grand Theft Auto 5 petition for PC release grows to 60,000 signatures

A fan petition encouraging Rockstar Games to bring Grand Theft Auto 5 to PC has now surpassed 60,000 signatures. The petition, which comes in response to Rockstar only confirming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the highly-anticipated game, is seeking 100,000 signatures. As of now, it sits at 63,921.

"Please release GTA 5 on PC," the petition reads. "GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have."

It concludes: "I hope you consider the release of GTA 5 on PC as it'll make many people very happy!"

When Rockstar confirmed Grand Theft Auto 5 for spring 2013, an added statement noted, "For those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time."
