Grand Theft Auto 5 has been delayed for PC, Rockstar announced today. Originally due out this month, GTA 5 will now launch on March 24, 2015.
"Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be," Rockstar said today.
"Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March."
Speculation about a delay for Rockstar's highly-anticipated action-adventure game arose last month when Steam quietly changed the release date to "coming soon" and then "early 2015." Rockstar adamantly denied the rumors, insisting that the PC version was still on track to release as scheduled. Should've known they were lying.
On the bright side, Rockstar at least shared with us a new batch of screenshots as well as the PC specifications for GTA 5.
