Rockstar Games' monumental blockbuster title Grand Theft Auto 5 is continuing to smash sales records. The game, which generated over $1 billion in sales, has become the biggest digital release ever on the PlayStation platform, Sony's Fred Dutton revealed on the EU PlayStation Blog. In doing so, it broke the previous record set by PS3-exclusive The Last of Us.
Over in Europe, GTA 5 topped the charts, followed by FIFA 2014, Grand Theft Auto 4, Diablo 3, and Payday 2. GTA 5 found similar succes here in America, where it also claimed the number on spot in the top 20 games. Below are the top 20 PS3 & PSN games for September 2013 in the U.S.

Last week, Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto Online, the online multiplayer component for the game. GTA Online definitely suffered some setbacks at launch, but there's no denying that GTA 5 has an addicting single player that's worthy of checking out.
