Sony Online Entertainment's post-apocalyptic MMO, H1Z1, will be released on PlayStation 4 after the PC version is launched. SOE President John Smedley confirmed the new via Twitter when asked exactly when H1Z1 would arrive on Sony's new console.
"After PC," he responsed, offering no other details.
While we knew H1Z1 would release for both PC and PS4, we weren't sure if the PS4 version would launch in tandem. Now the question is how long after the PC version launches will PS4 owners have to wait?
H1Z1, similar to PlanetSide 2, will be free-to-play with microtransactions. Smedley recently took to the game's subreddit to clarify exactly what that means, revealing that the company will be selling "wearables" for real-life cash. Smedley also assured that food, water, guns, and other core survival items will not be available for purchase with real-cash. "That's kind of the whole game and it would suck in our opinion if we did that," Smedley said at the time.
