Hacker commandeers the League of Legends’ co-founders Twitter to reveal spin off game and make threats

When you’re at the top of the most popular video game in the world, you tend to gain a lot of attention. Over this last weekend, this was the exact case for Riot Games President and Co-Founder Mark Merill. This hacker posted an image of a previously scraped League of Legends spin off game called Supremacy. A website with the same name was registered by Riot in April of last year.

The hacker, “Jason,” said that “Riot doesn’t want you the play this game. While I’m sure that was supposed to become sort of threat, it’s not surprise to me that Riot doesn’t want us to play non-finished game. After all, after Worlds end a few weeks ago, I’d say their doing quite fine with vanilla League of Legends.

Eventually Marc regained control of his Twitter. He wrote, "We're always working on a variety of new ideas for League & beyond. Lots of experimentation that may never see the light of day :)." Two things here, he definitely says “may” – so there is hope of this stuff coming someday down the line. Two, the smile face lets us know it is all good now.

Summoner’s Rift is safe once again folks.
