Chet Faliszek, writer of Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life Episode Two has left Valve after 12 years.
This was confirmed by a statement issued to GamesIndustry.biz where he said his reasoning is "nothing exciting or drama filled."
"I worked there for 12 years, shipped a bunch of great games and some amazing hardware and wanted to change things up," Faliszek said.
His resume doesn't end with the Half-Life DLC either. He was also a writer for Portal, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Since then, he had been heading up developer relations for the Vive, which Valve produced in partnership with HTC.
In regards to what's next, Faliszek gave no mention: "There's no news on what's next," he said in his statement. "I will let you know when that happens."
