After assuring players that updates were on the way to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, an update has finally come through; it is not an update to any technical details, it's bringing new playlists.
Today's update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be making Halo 4 and Team Hardcore playlists available in Matchmaking.
Currently, Team Hardcore only includes Halo 2 (classic) game types. As 343 Industries stated in their previous update on the progress of the game updates, Halo 3 tournament-approved game types will be coming in a future update, as well as fan favorite playlists. These 'fan favorite playlists' will include Team Snipers, Team Doubles, an objective-only playlist, 'and more.' There is no release date or release window given for these playlists.
This weekend we will be seeing the update that will be improving UI, Matchmaking, game-specific multiplayer items, controls 'and more.'
