Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC listing ‘an error,’ says Microsoft

Sorry PC Master Race, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is staying an Xbox One exclusive.

Responding to rumors sparked by a listing on Amazon Spain, Aaron Greenberg, head of Microsoft Studios Global Product Marketing, confirmed it was nothing more than "an error at retail."

Now I know some of you are thinking there's still a chance given that Ryse: Son of Rome, another Xbox One exclusive launch title, was just announced for PC release, but it's important to realize that is a third-party title. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is first-party. So there's the difference.

Sure, they'd probably sell more copies of the game on multiple platforms, but I have a feeling Microsoft wants to keep this an Xbox One exclusive to help push more consoles.
