Halo Wars 2 art leaks, brings possible spoilers

During Gamescom last year, Bonnie Ross – the head of 343 Industries – revealed that the studio had teamed up with the Total War developer to bring a Halo Wars sequel to the Xbox One and Windows 10. The game is slated for a Fall 2016 and will presumably be getting some type of gameplay or cinematic trailer at E3 2016.

It appears as though key art for Halo Wars 2 has leaved out, offering somewhat of a spoiler as to when the game will take place in the Halo series.

In the image, you'll see the Ark, which up until this point has not been mentioned for the game. In addition to that, the Ark appears to be somewhat fatigued at the middle. With the center of the Ark being broken and the presence of UNSC forces, fans believe that the game will be set around when Halo 5 took place.

Another camp of fans are giving the game a bigger window, saying it could take place between Halo 3 and Halo 5.

You can head to NeoGaf to read all the theories and book talk.
