Happy Birthday to Shigeru Miyamoto!

Today's a special day, people. It's the birthday of Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto. I think I could end this post there and call it a day, because we all know what Shiggy brought to the gaming table all those years ago.

Just think, 59 years ago, the guy who brought us Mario and put gaming back on the map was born. In that time he's brought us Donkey Kong, Zelda, Star Fox, and more reputable titles. An impressive list of classic favorites, no doubt.

But the one that stands out is Mario. Without Mario, would gaming be where it's at today? I'm not 100 percent certain, but there's a chance that things could have gone awry and gaming would have ceased to exist. And then I would have been left without a job to perform.

And if you're an Xbox 360 fanboy or fangirl who HATEZ NINTENDO, get over yourself. Cliffy B. stated that his biggest inspiration was ol' Shiggy, so technically, without Miyamoto, there would be no Gears of War. Just thought I should point that out.

So, thank you Mr. Miyamoto, and happy birthday!
