‘Hardcore Science’ Space Flight Sim, Starfighter Inc. coming to the end of its Kickstarter

Starfighter Inc. is a space flight sim inspired by the likes of X-Wing VS. TIE-Fighter but with a focus on incorporating nothing but elements of hard science. Everything from the design of the ships to the weapons systems is something that could exist in the real world, which is helped by the fact that Savannah-based studio, Impeller Studios has hired real world engineers to design everything in the game.

The game is described as "Counter-Strike meets World of Warships in Space" and provides intense, skill-based multiplayer with multiple levels of customization. Starfighter Inc. also features a single player mode for you to hone your skills with a player-driven narrative. Not only will you roll around space, earning credits and reputation for your actions, but what you do will affect the balance of power within the game world.

Starfighter Inc. is currently on its second Kickstarter campaign, which wraps up this upcoming Saturday and it needs your help. As it stands, the project has accrued just over $104,300 of the $150,000 it is looking for. Pledges start at $10 and gradually work their way up from there. The first tier which unlocks a copy of the game is at $25, which also comes with your name in the credits, the ability to reserve your own call-sign, all unlocked stretch goals and more.
