PlayStation 4 and Xbox Own owners will soon be able to stream HBO shows directly through their systems, provided they are already Amazon Prime members. That's because Amazon and HBO have signed an extensive, multi-year agreement that will see many of HBO's shows available to watch via Amazon Prime Instant Video.
Shows like The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and The Wire are all going to be included, as are the "early" seasons of Boardwalk Empire and True Blood. Mini-series like Band of Brothers and John Adams will also be made available. The first wave of HBO content is set to arrive on Prime Instant Video on May 21st. Here's what Amazon Prime members will have access to:
The two companies also announced that HBO GO, the premium channel's mobile streaming solution, is also coming to the newly released Amazon Fire TV set-top box, but that won't arrive until the end of 2014.
