HBO GO app hits PS3 today; still waiting for PS4 version

HBO GO, the network's entertainment app that features over 600 hours of content available for streaming, arrives on PlayStation 3 today. Sony is working "diligtently with HBO" to bring the app to PS4 as well, but unfortunately no release window was given.

The HBO GO app is free to download, but you'll need an HBO subscription from your cable or satellite provider to access the service's on-demand content like episodes of Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire.

The HBO GO app is also available on Xbox 360, with plans to launch on Xbox One sometime this year.
