Hearthstone hits 20 million players

It's no secret that World of Warcraft has been having a hard time maintaining its player base. Last we heard, the subscriptions dropped to 6.9 million from an all time high of 12 million subscribers.

Blizzard is definitely not having the same issue with Hearthstone, and by definitely…I mean definitely. The bold lettering should help drive that point home. Hearthstone is sitting at a whopping 20 million players – this figure includes both PC and mobile players.

Hearthstone is Blizzard's first free-to-play game (it is ripe with in-game purchases), it launched on the PC/MAC first then hopped over to the iPad – now we are only waiting for it to hit Android tablets and mobile iOS/Android, the should be hitting later this year.

Grats Blizz on a successful launch!
