Hearthstone’s latest hero is free, if you recruit a friend

Yesterday, Blizzard released a patch for their beloved card game, Hearthstone, and with that patch came a new hero… who is free! But he has to be unlocked first and you'll need a friend to be able to get him.

The 5.2.0 patch came as a surprise for a lot of players and brought a few sweet features and fixes. The biggest addition was the long awaited Morgl the Oracle as a new shaman hero. Morgl the Oracle is probably one of the most important character in Warcraft lore and one of the strongest shamans, and now he's finally been added to Hearthstone.

Though Blizzard isn't just giving away Morgl the Oracle, players has to use the new Recruit A Friend program that has been introduced. When players recruit a friend that is new to Hearthstone and he or she reaches a combined level of 20 across all classes, the recruiter unlocks the new mighty shaman hero. To make the Recruit A friend program even better both the recruited and the recruiter earns Classic card packs along the way.

    • Earn free Classic card packs for up to four more recruits!
    • Pick up the new Shaman hero, Morgl The Oracle, when your first recruit achieves 20 combined levels across all classes.
• New icons make it easier for spectators to figure out which game mode you are playing.
• Golden Priest, Rogue, and Neutral cards are now easier to tell apart.
• Golden Hero Powers are now displayed correctly in the Arena.
• Tinyfin Beach – Get this card back by achieving Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of July.
• Silithid Swarmer is now a Beast.
• Khadgar’s portrait now has a drop shadow.
• The Collection Manager now more accurately displays new cards.
• The experience bar will no longer fill up after winning a game at max level.
• Wild card rarity now displays properly when viewing flavor text.
• Golden C’Thun’s buff animation is now gold, gold, GOLD!
• Players should no longer appear as UNKNOWN after reconnecting.
• Fixed some audio, graphical, and UI issues.
