MekTek Studios is currently developing Heavy Gear Assault, a futuristic mech game with a gladiator theme. The project is inspired by Heavy Gear 2 and is being developed for "next-generation PC hardware."
Players will take each other on and bring the hurt across online multiplayer match-ups. Well, if mechs could feel pain, that is. Destructible environments can be torn up, and visible damage will be seen on players' mechs, allowing for strategic gameplay centered on targeting weak spots.
Publisher Stompy Bot Productions has stated that Heavy Gear Assault is relying on crowdfunding to succeed, so if you dig competitive mech games, check it out.
