In case you've been living under a rock since 2009, the influence of the Demon's Souls design philosophy has infiltrated nearly every corner of the game development community, and for a good reason. People can't seem to get enough of it. Hellpoint is an alien-themed Souls-like game that is being developed by Cradle Games, a team of developers with a breadth of AAA experience who have elected to go the indie route.
They are coming to the end of Hellpoint's Kickstarter, and find themselves just under $4,000 short of their goal of $36,631. They need your help to cross the finish line so that they can add the necessary polish and depth to make Hellpoint the best that it can be, and considering how close they are; it would be a shame for them not to succeed.

One of the game's standout features is its split-screen local co-op, which the developers chalk up to the fact that they come from a generation where local co-op reigned supreme, and frankly (IMO) more games need it. Cradle Games has also put out a demo of Hellpoint on Steam, so I encourage you to check it out.
Hellpoint's Kickstarter ends on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017, so you don't have very long to help them out if you choose to do so.
