Spacelords, the rebranded and redesigned Raiders of the Broken Planet is launching very soon, on August 23. To celebrate and bring back players, developer Mercury Steam has put out a new video showcasing the Top Ten Changes Spacelords is sporting from its past iteration.
We reported previously when Mercury Steam announced their plans to reboot their self-published semi-F2P action-brawler Raider of the Broken Planet back in July. The ambitious original game released not even a full year ago but couldn’t manage to keep a large enough player base alive. Coupled with the unique business model of offering the first campaign for free and the other campaign as paid DLC not working out as planned, Raider of the Broken Planet quickly plummeted down in user reviews and player counts.
Mercury Steam wasn’t going to write the project off as a failure and move on to something new however, but instead believed their game to be special and only needing a second lease on life. Thus, Spacelords was born. A redesigned version of the original game, doing away with any kind of paid story DLC. Instead, Spacelord will feature the entire campaign chapters for free to all players, playable in any order. Furthermore, Spacelords will include every update, patch and new content the developers have been adding since the original game’s release.
In the new Spacelords video, the developer is highlighting the ten biggest changes of Spacelord. Make sure to check out the video but here are the Top Ten Changes:
