If you're anything like me, you might be confused about what Battleborn actually is. Developer Gearbox, who is most notably known for the Borderlands franchise, has only given slight details on the game. Is it a MOBA? Is it like Borderlands? Is there a single-player campaign? Does it have a bazillion guns?!
Thankfully, this behind-closed-doors gameplay trailer of Battleborn from E3 2015 sheds some light on these questions.
Battleborn will give you 25 very different Battleborn characters to choose from. Whether you prefer to take out enemies with a bow, an assault rifle, or perhaps a saber? The choice is yours. Your mission is to protect the last known star in the universe.
For those that might be thinking that Battleborn is simply a MOBA, should keep watching the video. There will be huge overarching missions that Gearbox calls episodes. The only MOBA trait here is that each mission will allow you to spec your character from level 1, essentially giving you a different loadout per episode.
The video shows you combat from five different characters, Orendi, Thorn, Oscar Mike, Phoebe and Caldarius.
