Ubisoft is no stranger to the open world genre. After all, they have been making open world games for the last ten years since the first Assassin's Creed and have continued to evolve and perfect their formula. These lessons learned over the years appear like they will be culminating into the vast world of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. The game's overworld map has been released, and it is huge.
Here it is:
As you can see Wildlands' Bolivia is not skimping when it comes to size, and each region looks to be diverse. Ghost Recon Wildlands was originally announced back at E3 2015, and while the company has been careful not to overload the masses with coverage, the game is due to release early next year.
Wildlands is all about the freedom to tackle objectives as you see fit, and Ubisoft has shown us exactly that. At this year's E3, we saw an extended look at how to infiltrate an enemy compound using the guns blazing approach during the day, then later the exact same mission at night in the middle of a thunderstorm. The point was to showcase just how much these details can have an impact on how you play the game, and they certainly show.
Registration for the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta opened up just a few days ago, so if you are interested in getting an early look at the game, don't hesitate to sign up. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 17th, 2017.
