Here’s the star-studded voice cast for the Ratchet & Clank animated movie

Starring Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, and Sylvester Stallone

The cast for Ratchet & Clank, the CG-animated film based on Sony's popular PlayStation video game, has been revealed, and it's a doozy.

The cast includes Paul Giamatti as "Chairman Drek"; John Goodman as "Grimroth"; Bella Thorne as "Cora"; Sylvester Stallone as "Victor", and Rosario Dawson as "Elaris". They will star in the film alongside the voice talent returning from the actual game franchise: James Arnold Taylor as "Ratchet"; David Kaye as "Clank"; Armin Shimerman as "Nefarious"; and Jim Ward as "Captain Qwark".

The Ratchet & Clank film is being directed by by Kevin Munroe (TMNT), and co-directed by Jericca Cleland. Munroe contributed to writing the script. Former Insomniac Games writer TJ Fixman write the original screenaply draft. Below is a brief outline for the film.

Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet is the last of his kind – a foolhardy “lombax” who has grown up alone on a backwater planet with no family of his own. Clank is a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way they’ll learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.

Ratchet & Clank is said to hit theaters in 2016.
