Here’s what’s coming out on Xbox One This Week

In a blog post titled "Next Week on Xbox", Mike Nelson lists the games coming out for Xbox One this week. Some of these games are full release, while others are Game Preview games, a program similar to Steam Early Access where games can be bought and previewed before their full development and release.

Here are the games releasing this week!

Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution | $9.99 | January 11

Acord Assault has you at the command of a rodent army to overthrow a king and save squirrels. This game actually tells a purposely inaccurate version of the French revolution, as told by squirrels! It plays like a turn-based strategy game with a mix of its own.

Pit People | $TBA | January 13

Pit People is the new game from Behemoth, the people who brought us Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater. These Newgrounds veterans have been working on a new turn-based strategy game with the humor only Behemoth can create.

The game is narrated by a rude, snarky narrator that's an enemy of his own right and features a two-player co-op mode and a four player PvP mode. This title is a Game Preview title, so don't expect a full game quite yet, although Game Preview has tighter criteria than Steam's Early Access.

Rise & Shine | $14.99 | January 13

In this game, you play as a kid named Rise. You shoot a gun called Shine. Get it? As the next hope of planet Gamearth, you take up Shine and fight a bunch of over-the-top bad guys in this shoot em up.

From Adult Swim Games, this game may look cute, but it's hard, and it's definitely brutal. With a Mature rating from the ESRB, be sure you know what you're getting into before loading this one up.

Sylvio | $12.99 | January 13

Ghost chaser Juliette Waters trespasses into an abandoned family park in this first-person horror title. Sylvio features the voices of the dead on a reel-to-reel recorder telling the tale of a cursed land and evil cult that currently lives at the park. This game has a lot of unique audio puzzles and 10-15 hours of gameplay.

Dead Effect 2 | $11.99 | January 13

In Dead Effect 2, you play as an elite soldier tasked to take control of a derelict spaceship. This sci-fi FPS has a mix of RPG elements while you retake the ship. It features upgrades to weapons, gear, implants and more to custom fit your gameplay style.
