When The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD releases on Wii U next month, it won't just be a port of the 2006 game with updated graphics. Nintendo has much more planned for the game, in terms of new gameplay features, and the video above highlights some of what's new.
For starters, the game has a new item called "Ghost Lantern." When in the same area as Poe (a kind of ghost), it will glow, making the Poe soul-retrieving quest "much easier to complete," Nintendo says. Link's wallet has also been expanded to hold more Rupees.
Additionally, the game will include "Hero Mode," a challenging new mode that doubles all damage received and completely removes heart drops. Additionally, if Link finds Rupees in any treasure chest, but his wallet is full, Rupees will no longer return to that chest.
Of course, the game has other improvements more directly related to the Wii U iteslef, such as the GamePad controller allowing you to easily access your map and inventory at all times. The GamePad also allows for off-TV gameplay, which is always a plus if you have someone else vying for the television.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will release for Wii U on March 4, 2016. As a reminder, all physical versions of the game will include a Wolf Link amiibo figure that grants access to the challenging Cave of Shadows.
