Marvel fans will be faced with a difficult decision next year when Captain America: Civil War hits theaters, pitting Captain America and Iron Man against one another in what's sure to be an epic showdown. With the lines already drawn, legendary Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee — the man who co-created Iron Man and introduced Captain America to the Avengers — has finally revealed his allegience.
"Whatever side Captain America was on, because he's the best, pure-hearted person in the whole world," Lee told a crowd at the Edmonton Comic Expo when asked who he'll be siding with.
Captain America: Civil War, slated to hit theaters in May 2016, picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off. If you recall, you could start to see the schism form between Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Tony Stark (Iron Man) in that movie; in Civil War, mounting political pressure stemming from an international incident resulting in collateral damage fractures that relationship further.
Lee also added, "By the way, he's a great actor, too, the guy who plays Captain America does a beautiful job — Chris Evans. I say that because he likes me, and anyone who likes me is a great actor."
Marvel has already confirmed which heroes will be fighting alongside Captain America and Iron Man. Which of the two heroes do you side with?
