Heroes of the Storm is unlike every other free-to-play MOBA. For starters, it took our MOBA hating Editor-in-Chief and turned him into a MOBA lover, well, as far as Heroes of the Storm goes (he still feels the same about League of Legends and DOTA). All of Blizzard's efforts to get this game launched are paying off, as Heroes of the Storm will be getting an official full release on June 2nd, 2015.
The game will launch with more than 30 playable Heroes from across Blizzard's realms (Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo) and seven battlegrounds. Of course true to MOBA nature, you can buy a character skins (costumes) and mounts for a little customization.
If June 2nd was too far off of a release date for you, don't worry. Open beta testing begins a on May 19th; this relatively short beta period makes it feel like Blizzard is pretty confident in their product.
