Hideo Kojima teases the return of the Crocodile Cap and more for Metal Gear Online

Konami is preparing to reveal more information and gameplay for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's online service Metal Gear OnlineĀ at their Tokyo Game Show booth. Ahead of the event, game creator and director Hideo Kojima has been teasing some of the announcements concerning Metal Gear Online.

Kojima gave us a look at various loadouts, the Tokyo Game Show booth banner and the return of some crazy hats. By crazy hats, I mean the infamous Crocodile Cap is making a comeback and it's bringing some new fishy friends with it.

The Crocodile Cap made its first appearance in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and allowed Snake to sneak about without guard dogs approaching him. When Snake used the nearly submerged in water NPC's would confuse him with a crocodile and if Snake peeked around a corner with the hat equipped it would cause guards to run away in terror.

Hopefully the event will give us a set date for the release of Metal Gear Online on PC! The service will be available on consoles on October 6th.
