Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number adds unlockable hard mode

Was Hotline Miami not hard enough for you? If that's the case, you will be happy to know that its sequel is going to get harder. #Hawt

Developer Dennaton Games plans on adding an unlockable higher difficulty mode for all of the levels in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, which would require a C+ or higher rating on levels to unlock that level in hard mode. What comes with hard mode, you ask? Well, enemies will be more difficult to kill (hard to believe it could get any more difficult), and some abilities will be taken away from the player, like the ability to lock onto enemies.

Dennis Wedin told Polygon, "We added this because some people said that the first game was too easy. So we wanted to give them something more. Also, all the players trying to beat the world record or top the leaderboards — we wanted to give them more stuff to be good at."

If you don't want your Hotline Miami experience any harder, Wedin said, "In normal mode, it's pretty much the same [as Hotline Miami]."

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number releases on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac and Linus next yaer.
