At a fan event promoting Phantasy Star Online Portable 2 Infinity, Sega also revealed its plans for a Phantasy Star Online 2 alpha test. This summer, players will be able to participate in the first testing phase of the game if they meet certain conditions.
A code included with the first run of the upcoming PSP Phantasy Star Portable will allow fans to enter into a drawing to be selected for the alpha. Sega will also hand out codes to Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst players.
Since the event was held in Japan, it’s not yet clear if this is a worldwide opportunity. Though at this point, I’d be more concerned with the game being good at all, considering the track record of the series since the original.
