Japanese author Miyuki Miyabe released ICO: Castle of the Mist, a novelization of the cult classic PlayStation 2 game ICO, in 2004. After seven long years, the novel is finally being translated and released in the US.
The novel is currently slated to release sometime between summer and fall, with a tentative August 16, 2011 date currently listed. Amazon has ICO: Castle of the Mist priced at $15.99, though preordering the book drops the price down to $10.65.
If you’ve been waiting for the localization of the novel, then now’s the time to rejoice. If you decided to learn Japanese just so you could read the original 2004 edition, congratulations on learning a new language, and don’t spoil the book for the rest of us who haven’t read it yet!
